Fields of wildflowers ripple in the summer breeze; colours swirling in symphony
Distant rumbles of thunder electrify the atmosphere; goosebumps ripple across my arms
Droplets of water splashed against my skin, cold contrasting the thick humid air
Drops of rain sent small shockwaves through the slow flowing stream; the smell of wet grass settles on the air
Tiptoeing across slippery rocks; arms out to stay balanced, carefully planning my route
Inhale, exhale; refreshing air fills my lungs
Dreaming of the warm morning sun; goosebumps from an early breeze
Clattering branches echoed across the forest; a small raindrop landing on my forehead
Out of breath, heart beating in my chest, the sound of a distant stream carried on the wind
A haze radiated from the hot ground, spectrum of colours erupting as cool meets warm
Sunlight abstracted my vision, silhouettes of the landscape floated across my eyeline like water
Legs heavy and muscles burning; clouds swirl overhead eliminating the slight warmth from the weak sun
Dried leaves carried on the strong breeze hit my face like missiles; eyes stinging from the impact
The strong burst of light dazzled in my eyes; ears sore from the biting cold breeze
Sat amongst the foxgloves, the rustling of their leaves deafening as the strong breeze hit my body
Lichen clung to the blue-ish grey boulder, its strong form holding firm in the wind
The soft peaty ground moulded to the shape of my body, unruly wild plants shrouding me in a cloak of thick, tangled stems
Lost along the reservoir, a misleading gap in the foliage above caused an altercation with a towering thistle; thorns slicing skin
An opening in the clouds unveiled a curtain of light illuminating the spot in which I stood, warmth hitting my face, a moorland enlightenment
Purple hues radiate from the ground below, rippling in tone as my feet disrupt the landscape
Ominous dark clouds swirl in the distance, buried instincts sense danger is coming
Admiring mould on dry stone walls as the sound of rippling water flowed through the warm breeze
